If you bleed green and orange, clear your Saturday night. No. 1 Miami (8-0) plays No. 4 Notre Dame (7-1) in South Bend, a rematch of the Canes’ 27-24 win in last season’s opener at Hard Rock Stadium.
The big question is the passing game. Star receiver Malachi Toney, a Heisman contender, got hurt in practice Wednesday and had ankle surgery. Cooper Barkate is expected to see more targets, and major sportsbooks have Notre Dame favored by 7.5, up from 6.5 when the spread opened.
